The sun shone brightly!!!!!

Well the sun has certainly shone these last few days!  Hope you had a good long weekend!

The highlight of mine was going for a bike ride on Monday with my wife.  Within 4 miles or so, I had a puncture and made such a mess of repairing it that, having struggled to get a new inner tube back on the rim, I managed to rip that one too!

At this point, my wife came to the rescue simply by saying "It surely shouldn't be this difficult.  Let's look it up on the internet".  She did, found a video and within five minutes, it was all done and dusted and we rode on!  Good lesson that!  Sometimes you have to seek help.  It doesn't diminsh you and you might learn something.

It was good to be back in school and I heard rave reports on Nadia's assembly for Dorothy House!  Well done.  This was the first House Assembly I can recall in my four years here.  I'll look forward to Caitlin and Maria House tomorrow.

Overwhelm were back in harness, turning up in good numbers on the first day back, hot on the heels of their triumphant First Friday!

There was a lot of sorting out for Leavers' Mass, robes and stoles and Rome trips in both 2018 and 2019!

I also headed off to the Cathedral first thing with a stack of stuff which had been generously brought in for the foodbank.  A busy old day with lots of conversations and interactions - thanks to all.

It was World Red Cross and Red Cresecent Day today.  Here are a couple of resources for it:

A video (1 min 26 secs) showing the priniciples of the Red Cross and Red Crescent!

A  video (2 mins 31 secs) showing glimpses of the work of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
