FF -HON - Holy Hour
Last night, my band played at a Holy Hour led by Archbishop Malcolm at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Queens Dive in Mossley Hill.
It proved to be very holy indeed with a congregation I would love to take round with me.  They sang their hearts out.  It really felt like St. Augustine's words of "They who sing, pray twice!" were an underestimate!
One of the hymns was repeated at First Friday - Hymns Old and New this morning.  It's words are from a Latin hymn from the 14th Century although they were translated in 1823.  In 1863, a tune was written which helped capture the emotion of the words.  Hope you enjoy Soul of my Saviour
Our new hymn was our motto hymn which I'd sent to Sr Margaret on Wednesday.  Apparently she sent it orund the Notre Dame Network and got a great response to our girls singing!  So well done all - Anna, Evie, Reham, Bridie and the Overwhelm singers!  You can listen to and learn Serve the good God well at our Hymns and Lyrics section.
