Earth Hour is a worldwide event where participants turn off all powered items at 8:30 p.m. in their own time zone. It's an expression of willingness to be good stewards of the earth - our shared home! It's an opportunity to enjoy a candle-lit dinner or bath or just sit and reflect with others in the darkness or with candles. Here's a video from 2020 to help reflect on this event. A PRAYER FOR EARTH HOUR Creator God, we give thanks for the wonders of creation; for the natural resources that provide us with power, which in turn can allow development in so many areas. For when we have not used this power responsibly - we ask forgiveness. We pray for all working to harness the power of creation. May they do this with compassion and sensitivity, mindful that the earth is a home shared with our fellow human beings and countless amazing creatures.
