Happy Notre Dame Feast Day!

February 2nd is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas) but it is also a special day for Notre Dame Schools as it is the day when the THE SISTERS OF NOTRE DAME DE NAMUR WERE FOUNDED IN 1804!

The day began beautifully in the Chapel with our usual Friday Morning Mass at 8.10am. Fr Stephen Pritchard from OLA celebrated Mass which began with a candlelit procession to mark the Feast of Candlemas before students were given smiley faces in Form Time to share with people throughout the day – after all St Julie is ‘the smiling saint’!

But the highlight was the FREE CAKE for all students and staff at lunchtime in the canteen – each one emblazoned with our Notre Dame badge!
