Honouring our Family War Heroes

11th November is Remembrance Day – the day when we stop to remember all those who have lost their lives in armed conflict.

But today, we also recognise the sacrifices that some of our own families in the St. Julie’s community have made and the things they have experienced through the generations.

This short video includes stories and images of loved ones sent in by students, parents and staff – loved ones who have sacrificed their lives in many different ways.

We give thanks to the Lord for each and every one of them.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

Be with us as we reflect and pray this morning.

May this gathering, together with Remembrance Day thoughts and prayers everywhere,

help move our world one step closer to the peace of your Kingdom.

We make this prayer to you through Jesus Christ,

our Prince of Peace and Lord.

Amen.
