Loving God,
We give thanks for the ingenuity you give us which hastens development in all areas of life.
We give thanks especially today for women and girls who work in ICT:
- for the developments they have been responsible for – in research, in communication, in media, in broadcast, in gaming!
- for the creativity and compassion they bring to their endeavours;
- for the determination to break through glass ceilings – dispelling stereotypes of what it is to be a professor, developer, programmer or technician.
We pray too for those who are denied opportunities – whether by societal attitudes or lack of access to resources.
Help us to use the resources we have wisely, sustainably and generously.
Help us to work towards that day when all are given chances to fulfil their potential.
We ask this in your holy name.
