Students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation

On Wednesday 16th July, some of our Year 8 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation with Archbishop John Sherrington.

Those students from the Liverpool South Deanery Parishes have attended 5 weeks of Confirmation preparation and will all receive the Sacrament this week.

The Riverside family of parishes celebrated on at St Charles Church, Aigburth on Wednesday and those from the Inland family of parishes will receive the Sacrament this coming Friday 18th July at Our Lady’s, Gateacre with Archbishop Emeritus Malcolm McMahon.

It was a beautiful service where all the young people confirmed the baptismal promises made on their behalf by their parents and God-parents and received further gifts of the Holy Spirit. There were lots of smiling faces and it was a joy to share this occasion with them! Come, Holy Spirit!
