LIVE SIMPLY SUCCESS!

This week, we were delighted to receive the CAFOD Live Simply Award!

The Live Simply award is an opportunity for Catholic communities – parishes, schools, religious orders and chaplaincies – to answer the call for us to care for our common home and stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers around the world.

To achieve the Live Simply award a community must show how they have been living:

simply
sustainably with creation
in solidarity with people living in poverty.

Over the past 18 months, we have completed many actions and held events that have involved students, staff, governors parents and local parishes that have enabled us to consciously put our faith into action. Some of these actions, such as our cards to the Holy land and Christmas Afternoon Tea for parishioners were so successful and had such an impact that they will now become part of our academic calendar.

Live Simply has given an extra focus to all the good work that goes on here at St Julie’s and we are very proud to achieve this award!
