Lent Easter Egg Appeal!
We are asking for donations of Easter eggs and chocolate treats for Micah foodbank, if people are able to do so.
Charity/almsgiving is one of the ways that Christians prepare for Easter. So, next time out shopping perhaps you can pop a small egg or bag of chocs in the basket to donate to those who would really appreciate a choc treat this Easter season…?
Similar to the Advent foodbank appeal, there may be an opportunity to bring forward some or all of the donations during the Lent/ Easter service we will have on Wednesday 29th March.

Lord, we ask that you hear our prayers for all those who rely on foodbanks and for those who work tirelessly to support those in need…
Loving God,
Help us to see clearly in our busy lives
our inter-dependence on one another,
Help us to see one another’s courage, resilience and creativity,
To see one another’s sorrows, fragility and humanity.
Help us to respond to suffering and poverty with kindness and generosity.
Help us to acknowledge the injustices of the world,
To meet them with a thirst for justice,
And a commitment to change.
Help us to nurture empathy,
reject greed and embrace compassion.
Amen.
