God of Broken Hearts by Zack Stachowski
As the nation mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, we reflect on her dedication and service to this country and the Commonwealth.
Throughout her 70 year reign, she offered words of comfort in times of crisis and has been a steadying and reassuring voice during uncertainty.
Her Majesty always remained firm in her Christian faith:
‘I know just how much I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad. Each day is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God!’ (2002)
As we hear the words of ‘God of Broken Hearts’, we pray for Queen Elizabeth II, her family, all who mourn and ask that God’s love, light and healing enters our hearts.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
