Bishop Tom visits St Julie’s
We were honoured to receive a visit this week from the Right Reverend Bishop Tom Williams, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Liverpool.
Bishop Tom is a regular visitor to schools in Liverpool, dedicating huge amounts of his time to getting out and meeting parishioners.
During his visit today the Bishop made a tour of the building and visited some RE lessons before meeting with our Chaplaincy Prefects, with whom he shared his experiences of serving in parishes across the City, including his time at Sacred Heart where he also served as Chaplain to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
As his final act before leaving us for the day Bishop Tom joined us in the Epiphanytide tradition of chalking the door, where we inscribed “20+C+M+B+24” on our building, commemorating the Magi.
Thank you very much to Bishop Tom for taking the time to visit us and sharing his experiences.
Bishop Tom met with Chaplaincy Prefects and representatives of Junior 1804 Society.
