A prayer on International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, we pray to the most inspirational woman to Catholics – Mary, mother of Jesus.

(Prayer leader reads the following aloud)

Sit still.

Take a few deep breaths… close your eyes if you are easily distracted.

Think of the women who are important to you in your life.

Think of them and give thanks for them, as we pray…

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. 
Amen.
