This week - on Tuesday, 20th June - it is World Refugee Day.  

You may have noticed that stories in newspapers are not always terribly supportive those who seek refuge - often portraying them as victims, weak or even scroungers!

The reality is that most refugees are resourceful, determined, independent but also keen to be part of a community - playing a worthwhile role in developing that community!

Christian Aid is running a campaign asking people to write to their local newspaper to encourage them to re-dress the balance of how refugees are portrayed.
