This is a really perplexing passage in which Jesus asks his disciples who people think he is. Peter eventually tells him that he thinks he is the Messiah - the Saviour. And then, Jesus talks about how he had to die and Peter took issue with this, at which point he gets severely told off by Jesus - in front of the others as well!
Jesus even said he was like Satan which must have hurt Peter's feelings so much. It's interesting to note the dynamic relationship they had. Was Jesus trying to prepare them for the difficult days ahead? How do we prepare for difficult days ahead?
