St. Julie's Catholic High School Chaplaincy

Welcome to St. Julie's Catholic High School Chaplaincy

Peace Sunday

Date: Jan 20, 2019 13:30:00

This is the day the Church sets aside for prayers for peace.  Here are a number of quotes about peace. (1 min 58 secs)

Which resonate with you?

Here is a beautiful song sung by Elvis  (3 mins 11 secs)

Let's reflect on whether there is peace in our world,

our nation,

our city,

our neighbourhoods,

our school and our families?

Maybe we should reflect on whether we are part of the problem or can we be part of the solution?

How peaceful are we?

Are we peace makers or conflict provokers?

Do our words (spoken, written or posted) encourage and build up or do they discourage and damage?

In the words of St. Francis of Assisi, you're invited to pray:

Make me a channel of your peace!

Where there is hatred, let me bring love.

Where there is hurt, let me bring healing.

Where there is doubt, let me bring hope.

Where there is darkness, let me bring light.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN
