Assembly - on tour - choir

It was a great assembly today from Miss Bennett.  The whole ethos of it was acceptance.  It gave everyone the chance to reflect and the whole thing was a prayerful experience.  Weaving the ancient words of St. Paul to the Corinthians into modern day concerns about acceptance of those who are different, it was awesome.  Here's the video that was part of it (90 seconds):

At break and lunch, Overhwelm did a good job of sorting out, packing up and carrying musical equipment ready for the journey to OLA.  It's like trying to move an army!   I sometimes wonder if we need quite so much gear but, in a big church, it is really helpful in ensuring things are clearly audible.

Also at lunch, there was a bit of a rehearsal with both sections of our choir in advance of a celebration in the Cathedral where the choir are supporting SFX.  What a pleasure to play along when our singers are in full voice under the guidance of Mrs Hambleton!  One of the hymns was "Here I am, Lord" which is a favourite of mine!
