Nicaragua - a weekend to remember - a weekend to look forward to

Hope you get the chance to look at our Weekly Prayer Video this week featuring events in Nicaragua:

Thanks to those who came to light a candle for Nicaragua at break today.

It was a weekend to remember as my wife was ordained as a priest in the Anglican Church.  The service was at the Anglican Cathedral and it was long but magnificent!  I am so proud of the journey she has been on and the commitment and determination she has shown to arrive at this point.  That was on Saturday and on Sunday, she led the communion service for the first time.  It was very moving!

The Anglican Bishop of Liverpool, Paul Bayes, is really inspirational.  He led the service and drew us all into a sense of the presence of God with his tone of voice and his little cymbals which he clinked (is that the word?) from time to time.  This coming weekend, Overwhelm are heading down to OLA again and our Catholic Archbishop Malcolm is going to be there as he is visiting the parish!  Practice today was good with quality rehearsal time with Kelsey, Kim, Megan, Erin and April!  It's so good to see young people developing their talents and it only comes about with hard work!  I'm sure they'll do really well on Saturday.

I also had a long chat with Mr Alderman about an exciting project that's coming up!  Can't go into too many details yet but it's going to be great so watch this space for news of olive trees!
