Leavers' Mass + Rome 2018

There was only one story in town today - the Leavers' Mass - beautifully and sensitively led by Fr Tim.   It was the first Mass in our new schoolbuilding and it was so fitting that Fr Tim should be the one to celebrate it with us.  In the morning, Fr Tim had been at SFX for their Leavers' Mass so he had a very busy day indeed.

The day had started with the best breakfast you can imagine - all sorts of goodies - so thanks to Chris and all the kitchen staff for pushing ther catering boat out.  Best of all was the excellent company and to see the rapport between staff and students who have journeyed together for 7 years in many cases.

Mass was breathtaking and very moving with lots of student and staff participation.  It was all very special and I loved the ceremony with the robes and stoles.

The guard of honour at the end was particularly moving as staff applauded out these fine young people from the final formal occasion they will celebrate here.  Of course, they'll be back for exams and there's also the prom to look forward to.

It was an early finish for the rest of the school but it wasn't for some as we had the Year 11 Rome 2018 Parents Meeting at 5:30 p.m.  It went really well with, not surprisingly, the parents being as delightful as their children are!

Anyway, by 6:15 p.m. I was ready to sign off for this half term and head home for pizza!  Hope your half term holiday is a good one!!!!
