Wed Ref - 9 Maria

I spent the first part of the day ensconced in the Chapel with Rosary @ 8:00, Wednesday Reflection @ 8:25 and Year 9 Assembly @ 8:45 and what joy each event brought!

The rosary is a chance just to rest in the presence of God and ask Mary to pray for our many and varied needs.  I like the idea that we don't actually worship Mary but that we ask her to put a word in for us.  It reminds me of when I was younger.  If I wanted anything, I would speak to my mum about it and then she would speak to my dad.  It wasn't that Dad was unapproachable.  It's just that Mum has persuasive techniques that I didn't possess!

Wednesday Reflection was led by Mr Willis and it would be great to see students attending.  This week he challenged us to make connections with a picture montage:

Can you spot the connection?  If you want to know the answer come and see me!

Anyway, after spotting the connection, Mr Willis went on to reflect about humility and not being consumed by labels.  It was really moving.
