Wed Ref - StopCSE assembly - new generation

Another birthday in our house - this time my wife's!  We've got a lot of cake to eat!

Wednesday Reflection took a different form today with a loop of 3 of our Stations of the Cross reflections playing in the Notre Dame Chapel from 7:30 a.m. with folks invited to pop in and spend as little or as long as they want resting there, reflecting on the sacrifice of Jesus.  There was also the chance to light a candle for someone who is carrying their own cross.

Sorry the image is not very clear but I hope it gives you an impression of some of what was going on.

Y9 assembly was very appropriate for this week's Mission Statement focus - which is our commitment to safety and security.  It was concerning National Stop Child Sexual Exploitation day on 18th March.  Miss Rainey did an excellent job in addressing a difficult issue - emphasising the subtle ways in exploitation can gather pace.

Mrs McCourt also did a bit of an advance notice of our involvement with the End Period Poverty campaign in association with Always.  You can find out more about the campaign at:

On the subject of Safety and Security, tonight Overwhelm will be introducing our next generation of students to My Lighthouse as we welcome them for the first time since they got word that they will be joining us in September.  It should be great!
