Day of Prayer

Following yesterday's excellent Year 10 assembly, Miss Navarro came to record the prayer she used.  Here it is:

Hope it helps you as it did me today.

I was also asked to pray by some special young people today.  We went into the Chapel and lit a candle for a loved one.  If you ever feel the need to do the same, do drop in.  I know my prayer life leaves much to be desired - much too often I'm busy doing stuff and neglecting the importance of time with God.  Now, I appreciate that time with God's people is time with God but I know that I am not living the words of St. Julie who advised us:

"When you have time to spare, go faithfully to prayer.  The good God will be waiting for you there!"

From today, I'm going to try to do better.

There were some other visitors to the Chapel at lunchtime - auditionees for the junior Music Ministry Team.  What a great bunch and it's so hard to choose between them! You can see them serve for the first time next Friday at First Friday - Hymns Old and New @ 8:25 a.m. in the Teamtalk area!  Come along and join in!
