Surely not!!!  - The nation comes to Liverpool - 6th Form OE
Surely not - one month since Christmas?!?!  Time flies!
The day started withg another excellent assembly by Mrs Navarro which focused on stress.  The assembly ended with a lovely prayer:

Gracious Lord,
you know what is on my plate right now.
You know everything I've said yes to,
everything I need to accomplish
and everything that's on my mind.

I ask that your hand would come down
and touch my restless, anxious heart.
Help me rest in you
as I do the work I need to do.

There was also a great shout out for 4 outstanding young people who had taken last week's assembly on kindness and put it into action.  Well done Olivia, Olivia, Emily and Ellie!

I left school at lunchtime to attend a meeting with some other chaplains about a potentially very exciting event which is taking place in the great city of Liverpool in September.  10,000 Catholics are coming to us for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Congress!  Hopefully, we can get involved and participate.  The theme is "I am the bread of life".  These are words that Jesus said who also took bread and broke it before sharing it.  I think our dancers should perform that brilliant piece about the lifeboat and refugees as an expression of the brokenness in our world and those who need to be fed!
