Well done to 8 Therese who, having seen our weekly Sacred Time video story about the Hope+ Foodbank having to shut, have brought in loads of stuff thereby reaching out to their sisters and brothers in this city. Thanks to Mr Fleming for his encouragement.
At lunchtime, it was another singing practice for the Inclusive Mass - this time with Y9 pupils who had to learn some new hymns pretty quickly. I am so grateful to them for their giving up a Sunday afternoon to do something for others. I'll report back next week on how it goes.
It was great to see students moving around today in search of peoms on National Poetry Day. The Bible is full of poems - one particular book - Psalms has 150 poems covering a whole range of emotions. Here's one of my favourites:
God hear my cry for help,
listen to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I call to you.
Listen to my prayer!
If you're having a bad time, it's a good one to turn to. (It's Psalm 61 by the way!)
Here's a brilliant poem by Maya Angelou performed by Pe'Tehn Riaghn - aged 3.
