It was a really beautiful day today. I was blessed with many wonderful people popping by and chatting.
Anna, Reham and Evie came and recorded a song for me and they were outstanding - what talent! You'll hear the results of their labours next term! In fact, you'll hear it every week! I wonder if you'll spot it!
The high point amid all the packing which occupied a chunk of the day was the Big Sing with Year 10 pupils at lunchtime.
40 pupils came up to The Chapel for a final sing and I'm sure you can guess the hymn that got them up on the sanctuary dancing!
But before that each of us lit a candle for the people we love who might need some light in the darkness of sickness or troubling times. It really was incredibly moving as 40 teenagers just moved forward silently and reverently to light the candle which represented the undimmable light of God's love which we want in their lives. I was really choked.
In the afternoon, I was walking along the RE corridor when I was drawn towards Miss Woulahan's room.
The Y10 class (Y10 featuring greatly today!) were painting their own version of the Stations of the Cross and it was lovely to see them lost in reflection as they painted. It's not often you get a chance to do something like this so well done to Miss Woulahan for organising it.
