Happy New Year and welcome to Much Woolton!

What a great way to start Advent - the beginning of the Church year!  I must say a big thanks to our caretakers who put out the characters in our Nativity Scene this morning.  Of course, there was one character missing - I'm sure you can work out which one!  They also helped to put up the lovely Advent banners in The Chapel.  I hope you get a chance to visit this week to see them along with our Advent Ring!

During Sacred Time, Miss Bennett's form made me very welcome and we watched Day 1 of our video Advent Calendar after Anna let Amy have her designated chocolate from their form Advent Calendar!   Girls - you were great and I'd love to return soon to spend time with you!  I got the feeling that you're really going to do a great job for the foodbank as well!

At break, Mrs McCourt, Mr Costello and I were discussing the aptly named Black Friday when, unfortunately, in many cases, greed overtook the willingness of some shoppers to treat others with respect and dignity.

Big thanks to Chapel Club who helped set out chairs and tables in The Chapel for the visit of Much Woolton pupils and staff!  It was quite an event!  Our visitors had three activities - a craft activity, a music activity and an Advent and Christmas quiz!  Our 1804 Society members were amazing!  We could quite simply not coped without you!

Have a go at one of the questions from the quiz:  How many wise men visited Jesus?  It might not appear as easy as you think.  Check it out in chapter 2 of Matthew's gospel.

Among other things tomorrow there's the Shake the Dust Fashion Show @ 6 p.m.  Tickets only £2 and you can pay on the door!  I think it's going to be sensational!

Advent is certainly starting with a bang not a whimper, but getting ready for a baby is a big deal!  Maranatha - Come, Lord Jesus!
