Dame students from England and Scotland come together to celebrate what is \u2018good\u2019 in our schools.&nbsp; In 2023 we met in Walsingham, Norfolk and this year, we gathered at Buckfast Abbey, Devon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this student conference is to plant the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022<strong>SEEDS OF JOY:<\/strong> Enjoying each other\u2019s company&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022<strong>SEEDS OF LOVE: <\/strong>Finding ways to strengthen our links&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022<strong>SEEDS OF HOPE:<\/strong> Inspiring young people to shape our future&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 3 days, students from ND Glasgow, ND\u00a0Norwich, ND Southwark, ND Plymouth, Our Lady and St Patricks, Dunbarton and St Julie\u2019s gathered to stay in the grounds of Buckfast Abbey to spend time reflecting, getting to know each other and sightseeing around the beautiful Devon and Cornwall area.\u00a0On day 2, we visited Plymouth Cathedral and were able to meet Sr Anne McDowell SND, who showed us the original site of the Plymouth school, originally built in 1865.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lots of new friends and connections were made for both students and staff and the UK Notre Dame family continues to go from strength to strength!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" evening together at Buckfast:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLANT<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>in us, Lord seeds of solidarity,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So that, rejoicing in your gifts, we may cherish &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>your presence in each other and all creation&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ROOT<\/strong> us, Lord, In compassion and justice,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour your Spirit down like gentle rain, soften our hearts,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Washing away division and selfishness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CULTIVATE<\/strong> in us Lord, attentiveness to your call.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Give us hope to dream of a better world&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And strength to play our part to make it a reality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GROW<\/strong> in us, Lord, your ways of peace and courage,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So that, we may bear witness to your love,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revealed to us in
