We are very sad to hear of the death of Mrs Kate Griffin after a recently diagnosed serious illness. Mrs Griffin was the much loved Headteacher of Christ the King Primary School.
Mrs Griffin, a mother of three, has been described as an ‘amazing individual‘ and a ‘very talented educator‘ who had a bright future ahead of her.
In a statement issued to parents, Acting Head David Delaney and Chair of Governors Ian Robertson, said: “Kate was an incredibly strong head teacher, full of life and a love of learning and a love of our school, which she always reminded us she was so proud to lead. Her huge smile will be missed by us all.”
We, at St. Julie’s would like to express our condolences to her family, all at Christ the King and all who knew Mrs Griffin – including our own students who came from Christ the King.
There is an online Book of Condolence for those who wish to leave a message in memory of this very special person – CLICK HERE.
